Trash Pick-Up

Get ready to roll up your sleeves and hit the streets! In this project, we’ll be traveling around the Venice area picking up trash to help clean up our community—all for the glory of Jesus. It’s simple, it’s impactful, and it shows love in action. Let’s serve our city with joyful hearts and make Venice shine!

Senior Friendship Center

Bring your energy, your smile, and your best dance moves! At the Senior Friendship Center, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with some amazing elderly and senior friends through games, Zumba, line dancing, and more. You might help serve in their Café, answer tech questions, or just share good conversation. This project is all about building relationships and spreading joy—come ready to love big and laugh often!

Wellen Park Tree Planting

Help us leave a lasting mark—literally! In this project, you’ll partner with Wellen Park staff to plant trees in this brand-new community. It’s hands-on work that makes a big impact as we help shape the future landscape of Venice. Come ready to dig, get dirty, and serve with purpose as we grow something beautiful together!

SRQ County Parks & Rec

Let’s get out and show some love to the spaces our community enjoys every day! In this project, you’ll team up with Sarasota County Parks & Rec to tackle a variety of hands-on tasks—pulling weeds, cleaning up local dog parks, and taking part in beach cleanups. It’s all about caring for creation and serving others in the everyday places they live, play, and relax. Come ready to work hard and make a visible difference!

Car Wash

Grab a hose, a sponge, and a smile—it’s time to serve with suds! In this project, we’ll be offering a completely free car wash to bless our community with no strings attached. Hosted at Colonial Baptist Church, this is a fun and practical way to show God’s love in action. Whether you’re scrubbing tires or waving cars in, every role matters. Let’s wash some cars and hearts with joy!

The Twig

Be part of something special as we serve at The Twig—an incredible organization dedicated to supporting foster families and children. From sorting clothes to organizing resources, you’ll help create a welcoming space where foster kids can shop with dignity and love. Every task you do helps meet real needs and shares the heart of Jesus with families in our community. Let’s serve with compassion and purpose!

GCBC’s Haven

Roll up your sleeves—it’s time to make The Haven shine! In this project, you’ll be painting large metal storage containers that will be used for future events at The Haven. It’s a hands-on job that will definitely get messy, so make sure to wear clothes you don’t mind getting paint on. Let’s bring some color and care to this awesome space as we serve behind the scenes with big impact!

Agape Flights

Ready to take your service to new heights? At Agape Flights, you’ll be scrubbing out coolers and washing airplanes that help deliver supplies and hope across the Caribbean. This project is for high school students only, and it’s one day only—Tuesday! A signed waiver is required to participate. Come ready to work hard, get wet, and be part of a mission that reaches far beyond our city! Click HERE for the Waiver

Flowers & Bibles

THIS IS A TWO-DAY COMMITMENT!! Join us for a beautiful way to share hope and encouragement in our community! On day one, you’ll write heartfelt notes filled with prayers and Bible verses, then attach them to fresh flowers. On day two, you’ll go out into the community to distribute these flowers, along with a copy of the Book of John, and offer to pray with those who wish to do so. This project is all about tangibly spreading the love of Jesus.

Wellen Park Outside Play!

Get ready for fun in the sun! On Thursday, June 5th, join us as we host a FREE 2-hour camp for elementary students at Wellen Park. You’ll lead crafts and outside games, teaching and playing alongside the kids. It’s a great chance to have fun, build relationships, and make a positive impact in the lives of young students. Come ready to bring energy, creativity, and smiles! Click HERE for the Waiver

Prayer Walk

Let’s cover our city in prayer. In this project, we’ll walk through local schools, businesses, neighborhoods, and parks—praying over our community and the people who live, work, and learn here. This is a quiet but powerful way to serve, asking God to move in hearts and bring hope, healing, and transformation to Venice. Come with an open heart, ready to lift our city to the Lord.

Letter Writing

If you have a heart for encouragement and a gift with words, this project is for you! We’ll spend time writing heartfelt letters to uplift and thank the people who serve and lead our community, including government officials, teachers, school staff, church leaders, nurses, doctors, patients, firefighters, and police officers. Every note is an opportunity to share life, spread hope, and remind others that they are seen and appreciated. Come ready to make an impact—one letter at a time.

Widow Yard Work

Let’s come together to bless a sweet widow in our community with some much-needed yard work. She has lost her husband, and now we have the opportunity to step in with love and support. We’ll tackle some BIG outdoor projects—clearing, trimming, and cleaning up her yard—as a practical way to be the hands and feet of Jesus. This is hard work with a beautiful purpose. Let’s serve with strength, kindness, and compassion.

Center of Hope

The Center of Hope is a shining light in our community, offering meals, support, and vital resources to those experiencing homelessness. In this project, we’ll come alongside their team to tackle some important outdoor projects—helping to clean, repair, and care for the space so it remains a safe, welcoming place for those in need. Let’s serve with purpose and make sure this incredible ministry can keep doing what it does best: offering hope and help in Jesus’ name.
